CHECKLIST FOR RESUME WRITING
This resume checklist will guide you as to what is needed. Keep in mind resume's are intended to help you get an interview...not you're entire autobiography. Keep it action oriented with relevant duties and responsibilities for the job you are applying for. Also, keep in mind that many resume's get scanned so don't go overboard with the unusual fonts, colors, etc. You want the employer to be able to read it regardless of the medium. -
UNIVERSAL JOB APPLICATION
A document much like this is usually required by most businesses. Print this and fill it out as completely and neatly as possible. Some businesses will utilize this very form for their records. Job applications with erasures, crossouts, mis-spelled words, and incomplete contact information reflect poorly on you as an applicant. BE PREPARED by completing this now. It never hurts to take it along with you in case you need information from this form for your onsite application or for your interview. -
INTERVIEW TIPS
Congratulations! Your resume and application indicates you have experience and skills that got you invited to an interview. First impressions, how you speak, and what you have to say can help seal the deal. Make It Count!! -

LABOR & INDUSTRIES STUDENT/PARENT AUTHORIZATION FORM
The State of Washington requires all employers to have this completed form on file. The student must complete and sign the form, have their parents sign, and have their employer sign the form. Please remember to have the employer complete the bottom chart on page 2 of hours per day and start and stop times the student will be working. The completed form is brought to the Counseling Office for final signature and a copy. Students then take the completed form back to their employer to keep on file. This form ensures all parties understand and agree to the amount of work a student may do weekly.
