Costs
On May 20, Freeman School District voters will consider a 20-year capital improvements bond to modernize and expand the high school and elementary school and make district-wide campus safety improvements. The district is taking a conservative, practical approach to the project, opting to modernize the buildings instead of building new schools.
The estimated budget for the project is:
Total Project Cost: $30.0 million
State Contribution: -$10.5 million
Local Funding (Bond) $19.5 million
If approved by 60% of voters, the net impact of the construction bond to Freeman taxpayers will be an increase of $1.59 per $1,000 of assessed property value.
