    Registered voters in the Freeman School District will be asked to consider the district’s $19.5 million capital improvements bond on the May 20 ballot.

    • At least 60% of voters must approve the bond to pass the ballot measure
    • All Spokane County elections are conducted by mail-in ballot
    • Registered voters will receive their ballots in the mail about 20 days prior to the May 20 election
    • Ballots must be postmarked or placed in a ballot drop box by May 20 to count.
    • Ballot drop boxes are located in all County and City libraries.

    General Obligation Bonds - $19,500,000

    The Board of Directors of Freeman School District No. 358 approved a proposition for bonds. This proposition authorizes the District to provide funds for the renovation and modernization of elementary and high school facilities of the District and make other capital improvements to District facilities; to issue $19,500,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within a maximum term of twenty (20) years; and to levy excess property taxes annually to repay the bonds, as described in Resolution No. 5-2007/2008.
